“The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance but the illusion of knowledge.”In partnership with leading clinical trial and research groups we are currently focused on harnessing the wealth of information encoded in the human genome to better address acute medical needs in oncology. We commit financial resources, proprietary sample processing techniques and analytic expertise for whole-genome profiling technologies. We work in a highly collaborative manner and fully support the requirements of basic and translational research activities in the academic or not-for-profit environment. We work together to design, test, validate and publish our findings so that our peers can evaluate them before commercial launch. Specifically, we are looking for peers interested in turning their static formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tumor samples into dynamic molecular archives. We will work with you to design a retrospective clinical trial, which is a proven method to use molecular profiling to efficiently develop new diagnostic, prognostic and predictive models of disease that can be used to address key clinical challenges. The fruits of these efforts will quickly bring the practice of pathology and medical oncology into the genomics age. GenomeDx is the only company developing an advanced web-based services for medical test delivery to its users, which will empower medical decision making far beyond traditional medical test results. This ‘platform-for-participation’ approach enables the formation of social networks to not only allow users to better connect and interact with their patients genomic data but also participate in the development of a broader ecosystem of knowledge creation.
